D'Uccle ( dew-clay ) are a calm chicken that at times are very broody. Their feathers are somewhat softer and more delicate than other breeds of chicken and for birds being showed they are not kept on wire floors. They have lengthy feathers that run their entire leg and feet that are difficult to keep clean when houses outside. The color Mille Fleur, meaning thousand flowers in French, is commonly associated with the D'Uccle.
