Living a "green" life style is an important way to help protect our enviroment and the enviroment of all the species we all love be it feathered, scaly, furry, plant, or any of the above. From the grass in our own back yards to the oceans around the world our enviroment are rapidly changing. We encourage you to take even a small step towards protecting all species for our childrens futures. Please take a moment out of your day and think about what you have done to help sustain our enviroment and even what you might do tomorrow!

- Plan your driving routes for your errands to have the shortest milage
- Raise chickens and ducks! Have fresh eggs right from your home! No extra trips to the store and the energy it takes to get those eggs to you is saved!
- Think twice about buying products overly packaged (the less waist the better)
- Eat Organic fruits and vegetables (These are grown without harmful chemicals being released into the enviroment)
- Recycle your soda can, water bottle, magazines, newspapers, glass jars, tin cans (even just one is a great start!)
- Turn off the lights, stereos, TV , and any electronics while you are no in the room (Even just a few moments of energy from each household will add up!)
- Replace your lightbulbs with energy efficient light bulbs (The newer bulbs last longer and save energy!)
- Plant a flower or add a house plant to your home (Plants filter the air and can bring a bit of life to any house!)
- Turn down the heat to a low, but still comfortable level (You stay comfortable and save energy helping both the enviroment and your wallet)
- Try finding green ways to fertilize your garden instead of chemical fertilizers (Chemical fertilizers can stay in the enviroment and make their way through our water ways. Try alternatives like worm casting, bat guano, seaweed and many more!)
- Keep your vehicles tuned up (If your car is running well it will create less pollution)
- Try an alternative to taking your vehicle like walking, riding a bike, or public transportation (Wonderful way to have fun as well!)
- Keep your windows, doors, and wall of your home in good condition. (Help seal in the heat to use less energy)
- Don't let the sink drip. make sure the faucet is turned off. (This will help waist less water!)
- While waiting for the water to warm up in the faucet run the water into a jug instead of down the drain. Use that jug of water to water household plants and more!
- Buy products locally! Local products don't have to be shipped hundreds of miles using a lot of energy to get it to you.
- Use re-useable cups for your daily coffee instead of disposable cups.
- Take the stairs. Elevators use energy to get you there. Take the stairs and give your body some exercise and the enviroment a break!
- Make your bills paperless and pay online.
- Start a compost pile. Recycle your perishables and create a great fertilizer for your garden
- Start a worm bed. Worms can eat some of your perishables and create a fantastic fertilizer for you!
