Pheasants are some of the most ornate gamebirds that can be found. Their striking colors and beauty have made the common ringneck the most hunted gamebird in the United States despite being native to Russia not the US. They are even the offical state bird of South Dakota despite this. Pheasants can be seen in many different colorations thoughout the world, although the females have much less color. The Lady Amherst males carries vibrant whites, blues, and greens hilighted by touches of red, orange, and yellow while the Red Golden Pheasant male has a magnifect red, orange, and yellow body with touches of blue and green. The males of this family no matter what variant are incredibly striking.
